FATHER MCGIVNEY & COUNCIL AWARDS
     On May 11, 2024, our pastor Father William Cocco was awarded the Blessed Michael McGivney Award for Chaplain of the Year for the Diocese of Wilmington by the Delaware State Council of the Knights of Columbus at their 81st Annual Convention.
     Father Cocco received this award for his dedicated support of the Knights of Columbus since he was ordained and for his fierce opposition to the City of Rehoboth Beach for prohibiting a display of a Christmas creche at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. 
     Father Cocco is currently the Chaplain for Star of the Sea Council 7297 at St. Edmond Church and has been since becoming pastor in 2015.​
     Star Council Lapel Pins for 2022-23 Fraternal Year. As part of the Star Council Award package a lapel pin was included for the Star Council Membership Director in 2022-23  Richard Litsey and Star Council Program Director Mark Petrusic.
