Wreaths Across America 2025
This was a very patriotic event that the Father Capodanno Assembly participated in. The actual ceremony involved the placement of wreaths honoring all deceased veterans of all military branches of our government as well as a wreath honoring the 70,000 MIAS and POWS. I did not ascertain the total number of wreaths laid but I know it was several hundreds. There were about a thousand people in attendance.
After Father Capodanno #2413 members and volunteers handled parking of visitors, two teams were assigned to lay wreaths at the graves of 13 of our Assembly’s Fourth Degree deceased veterans during this ceremony. The photos below of the wreath laying at the six graves assigned to the group I was in: William Smith II C-28; Roger Woofer, II C30; J. T. Romaine A Q-15; T.F. Dougherty, C B-20; L. J. Lubicki. D F-19; and Peter A.Saienni D K-1
The other deceased veteran Assembly Sir Knights on whose graves wreaths were laid are: Lewis G. Conn III C-5; Walter J. Reed I A-19; J. F. Lyons I N-16; E. J. Kenay H B-14; Kopewhats H Q-15; A. B. Cluba G F-1.
