Blockhous Pond Run 2022

On May 22, 2022 the Star of the Sea Council volunteered at the Consortium School's year end Pond Run which is a celebration to recognize students, faculty and staff. This year's run was the first since 2019 as well as the first ever at the school's new location on Sweetbriar Rd., Lewes.
Ten Knights of Columbus and four spouses assisted with the setup for the event, provided supervision for the students as they walked around the school's pond, and served 700 hot dogs and bottles of water to students, faculty, staff and family members.
The Knights of Columbus Fr. Vincent Capodanno Assembly presented the colors.  The Star Spangled Banner was sung a capella by one of the Consortium Students.

The Star of the Sea Council would like to recognize the following establishments for their generous donations to make this event successful:
Casapullas Subs for donating 800 hot dogs; Liscio"s Italian Bakery, Glassboro, N.J. for donating 800 hot dog rolls; Outlet Liquors for donating 15 cases of bottled water and Giant Food, Rehoboth Beach for donating a $25 gift card.
