Corpus Christi Procession June 11, 2023

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION    (Made  the front page of the Dialog on June 16th)

They processed from St. Edmond's Church down to the boardwalk, towards the bandstand, where they did a blessing with the Monstrance. They then walked up to 1st street and turned towards St. Edmond. 

Celebrated in the Church since 1264, Corpus Christi bagan after a miracle in which a priest who doubted teh True Presence in the Eurcharist had the Host bleed one day afer he celebrated Mass. The corporal on which the host bled is still visible today in the Cathedral of Orvieto, Italy. 

The Star of the Sea Council arranged the event with many members of the council participating.
